Georgia judge tosses 2 more counts in Trump election interference case

First former President Trump and Vice President Harris are heading to battleground states as Trump says this week’s debate will be his only debate he’s scheduled to speak at today. Harris is in Pennsylvania a day after rallies in California and North Carolina following a rally in Nevada ABC One senior reporter Katherine Fader joins me now. And Katherine for more on how significant it is that Trump said he would not debate with Harris again what does that mean after what happened earlier this week. Both candidates need to get on stage before the presidential election and now have the ability to debate. It works it’s fascinating in some ways because Trump of course you remember came to the spa after the debate when I was in the spin bedroom.

He essentially declared that he won the debate. I asked her Diane well did you win the debate. So why don’t you commit to a second debate with Harrison and she responded about the polls and said okay because I want to I don’t have to do it all over again. But it does make you wonder why he doesn’t want to meet again or come on stage at least but Trump is obviously known to change his mind, but it seems like now he’s saying quite definitively that it wasn’t and I’m not planning to debate before November Katherine.

Understanding the new reporting also the charges are expected to be filed. What can you tell us in the alleged hack of the Trump campaign it has to go back to August so last month and there was a hack of the Trump campaign emails. So officials a senior official on the Trump campaign one of whom we’re told was Susie Wiles. Who was one of the campaign’s cochairs years, their emails were hacked those people and allegedly hacked by the Iranians. The Iranians had access to information including an investigation document. Which the campaign was using to find out that Trump’s potential VP nominee Rubio was reading documents of Doug Bergen and.

Of course JD now we know at least, according to our sources charges are expected to be filed in the coming days we don’t know who will be included in those charges but I know from talking to sources in the Trump campaign that charges will be filed just next week and three more charges were dismissed in the Fulton County judge interference case overseeing Trump’s Georgia election. Trump is facing eight charges instead of the original thirteen, what else can you tell us.

Those charges and what will happen next so it’s because what will happen next, we were essentially in a position before. Of course all of these motions to dismiss have been filed the judge will continue to decide on certain aspects of it. But in terms of next steps we know that it’s on hold due to the various appeals pending. At least the cases but oral arguments in the appeals oh are currently scheduled for December fifth, of course that’s a month after the presidential election, which will be the next big deadline and case or you’ll see.
