Guys music has been a tool to connect humans across the world for centuries. One male pop band is now making history by doing just that as the world’s first male pop group made up of an Israeli and Palestinian cast. Which has been created thanks to a talent search in Tel Aviv that began in 2019. But with tensions skyrocketing or the marketing between Jews and Arabs after the Hamas terror attack in Israel last October the band is now celebrating solidarity. Releasing a debut single All Eyez On Us featuring Nile Rodgers, here’s a sneak peek at the music video. Our Morgan Norwood had the chance to sit down with one of the members to take a look. One Israeli Palestinian group is not like every other boy band, it’s made up of six multitalented singer songwriter rappers. I mean they do everything and they come from a region where the war between Israel and Hamas is rapidly escalating. When they are using the power to bridge that divide through music and now Nadine is joining them.
I never felt like Siddique and Natasha definitely didn’t want to start with a trip to Los Angeles because coincidentally the six moved to the US on October 23rd. Just one day before that horrible terrorist attack. How did that change the trajectory of the band’s mission and your goals. So we lived together in Israel for a year before we came here and our goal was just to record an album to make a dream come true. That day was October six and then another one like the next day was October seven. We just you know try our best to be there for each other and that’s what we did brotherhood, unity is what keeps us together. All of this is documented for a promo plus a show that’s coming up here later. We’re so excited to show the world Siddique I want to ask you. Because each of you have been personally affected by this war, whether you’ve lost a loved one.
How to get through this period, but then also try to come together. I mean even if you disagree or there are moments when he doesn’t agree with you. You know the war is to make us stronger and we would rather do that than go back home. Because what we’re doing here is much more important than our message. You know our music and a very important message to the world that no matter who we are no matter what our religion is. Our collars only matter that we are human beings and we all want peace and love and of course some music and money and that’s probably why some you know a lot of fans like you so you have a very large number of followers on social media.
You think that might have contributed to the explosion. Along with the group and the music I mean you have such a large fan base on social media I mean I think it really shows. When you really get to know us and what we stand for and the mission then you will understand what is being shown here. He’s a testament to what it’s like to be brothers, we’re all from the same area of the same place. We’re all the same pieces and so one of the sales we know that political and social tensions are so heightened right now. It’s so easy to disagree, so how is music used as a tool to move difficult conversations forward. I also speak for myself we listen to your music, it has so much energy it forces you to dance. Just forgets what’s going on, but then also the lyrics, I mean it forces you to listen and come together and connect with the lyrics.
I always wanted to think of music, always think of it as a neutron star. It brings so much gravity with it, no matter where it comes from, no matter what element it is, it unites humanity in music. It just brings the whole thing back to music, no matter what we talk about, no matter what we’re arguing about, what we don’t agree on. We put them into this music.
