Taylor Swift Remembers 9/11 During VMAs Acceptance Speech

Taylor Swift is taking a moment to reflect. While accepting the award for Best Collaboration for her song with Post Malone at the MTV Video Music Awards, Tiller paused to remember the September 11 terrorist attacks. I wanted to say you know waking up this morning in New York on September 11. I was just thinking about what happened twenty-three years ago, everybody who lost their loved one and everybody that we lost. The music icon said that while it’s nice to remember the tragic attack, that’s the most important thing today. She continued to think about the people who worked on her video and everything that happened tonight.

But to have the opportunity to thank and honor the people who worked so hard with me on this video is amazing. The Taylor singer continued her acceptance speech by giving a sweet shout-out to Post Malone, There’s a very clear reason I’m doing Post Malone. Malone is everybody’s favorite person in music to be killed. It’s because you’re so ridiculously talented, you’re so versatile. You are the most humble person, honestly, so humble It took me a long time to get her to stop calling me madam. When it came time to talk about Taylor, the entertainer was at a loss for words.
