In today’s debate we think we’re going to have one in a hundred you know with the Senate or the mayor of the area, so it’s disturbing to me. We’re saying this because we feel we need to tell you the story. Donald Trump refused to admit it. The fact is I don’t think we can be the frog in the pot, let the boiling water go up, he was very clear that I mean he lost his selection and he said he didn’t. One hundred and forty police officers were beaten at the capital that day with the American flag many died later. It wasn’t just in Minnesota, a group gathered on the state capitol grounds in St. Paul.
They said they were marching toward the governor’s residence. They said you could have casualties, there was only one person my son and his dog that the state police took out crying. That issue Mike Pence was standing there, chanting Hang My Pants Mike Pence made the right decision, so the senator brought it up again and again and again. I’ve been working with kids for a long time. He said that as a football coach sometimes you really want to win, but democracy is bigger than winning elections, you shake hands and then you try to do everything possible to help the other side when that’s what’s at stake. Now that’s the thing I’m most worried about.
Imprisoning your political opponents is already laying the groundwork for people not to accept it. The president’s words matter, the president’s words matter to people here, so I think it’s a matter of settling our differences at the ballot box. Shaking hands when we lose, being honest about it but denying what happened and January sixth was the first time in American history a president or someone tried to overturn a fair election and a peaceful transfer of power. Here we are in the same boat four years later, I’ll tell you this when it’s over we need to shake hands in this election.
Winter needs to be a winner this has to stop, it’s breaking our country down in the market share. As you want to respond that’s what it will look like for them. It’s very strange for democratic leaders to say that Donald Trump is a unique threat to democracy when he peacefully gives up power on January 20th, as we’ve done in this country for two hundred and fifty years. We’re going to shake hands after this debate. After the selection of course I hope we win when and I think we’re going to win, but if the coward is going to have my prayers for the next vice president as well.
With that said whoever I wish the best for and I’ll help them whenever they want, but we have to remember that Democrats in this country have been protesting the results of elections for years. In two thousand sixteen Hillary Clinton said that Donald Trump had the election stolen by Vladimir Putin. Because the Russians had bought five hundred thousand dollars worth of Facebook ads. This has been going on for a long time and if we want to say we need to respect, I agree with the results of the election. But if we want to say, as Tim is also saying, that this is just a Republican problem, I don’t buy that.
