Trump Cabinet members discussed on Capitol Hill

There are those like Tulsi Gabbard, Donald Trump’s pick for director of national intelligence, who is lobbying senators on the Hill as she faces new questions about her past. The meetings with Bush are all indications that this happened after rebels in Syria overthrew the brutal decades-long dictatorship of the Assad family. With Assad twice in government and back to Syria and after a deadly attack on his own people 271 times and saying he doubts his alleged use of chemical weapons despite overwhelming evidence from investigations by United States government agencies. Everyone from our DC bureau is tracking for us, so I know all about Gabbard’s antics on the Hill today, I am one and there is not enough time to put it on the table here.

What we do know is, she is going to be meeting with senators or other nominees of Donald Trump, we do not know a lot about how those meetings are going to go, but it is quite remarkable, can’t I just point out the timing of all of this, think about when she was nominated, this is one of the things that her critics are referring to the most, her meetings with Assad and now her being on the Hill, having these meetings at the same time that the regime has fallen. It is quite remarkable, because these meetings from two thousand seventeen, I cannot really make out the timing, I think what is fascinating as well is Pete Hague. He, who is also on the Hill right now, of course, is Trump’s choice for secretary of defense. He met with Sen. Joni Ernst today, and that is a significant one.

A female Republican senator. She is someone who has talked about being a woman in combat, who has been a victim of sexual assault, two things that are relevant to Pete Hegseth because of those allegations against him, which of course he has denied. He is certainly made comments as to say that he does not believe women should serve in combat roles. He had this meeting today, he said it incredibly well and then we got this statement from Sen. Ernst and I just want to rehash it. Here is an excerpt of it as she said did not completely say she is going to vote yes, but she said I support Pete through this process, so it sounds like he is got some support from there. It certainly comes after the weekend.
