There is a guess who has a very personal and poignant story about what is happening in Lebanon. He is a Lebanese American living in the United States, but his family is still in Lebanon. I am working with everything I have as a Democrat, as someone who has done a lot of work on Capitol Hill, working closely with the violence team, working closely with my parents. To get them to choose a different viewpoint it would take a look at my family’s life and viewpoint, it would have to stop sending away.
Weapons that are common and killing civilians, it’s really urgent. All of you co-founders of the Uncommitted movement get away and focus on that because it’s really important because there’s only a month left in this election. Candidates on the ballot first read about your family asking if you asked your country to stop bombing them, it would be very hard to hear how that made you feel, I don’t want you to know what you’re going through. All of this as you know family is in danger at home in Lebanon. You know the experience of our own family members living under the horrors of Netanyahu’s lines of action has been a real challenge for me as a political activist in the US between trying to formulate a good political strategy and having difficult conversations with my own very young cousins fifteen years younger than me trying to explain to them that going from one area to another is a little bit more dangerous than going to another area. Trying to get to a safe place is not a betrayal of other civilians, which can be written about the humanity around them. Because there is nothing different from their own area, there is a guilt, the associate director or Netanyahu is imposing the kind of terror that he is imposing on those around him.
The question is why the weapons that are being sent by the United States government are being used. So the great area to harm and kill children like me and so it’s a really tough conversation. For civilians the existential conversation with my own family members about whether this would mean safety was a needle. Netanyahu was in the wine, right now there is finally an ambition to know this aspect of our security. This is an important and an important conversation, not just with your family, there is pain in your voice here, it is felt when you talk about your family in South Lebanon. You are also in an incredibly influential position in eight states, so in the swing state you are in as a Democrat. I have to assume that you would naturally vote for a typical heterodox Democrat candidate for President, you also love what is known as the uncommitted movement. What is it doing in Michigan and why is it currently that you are not pressuring those in the movement to vote for the Democrat candidate.
