Former president Trump return to butler, pennsylvania, for rally

This is obviously a big moment for the former president. You don’t want to bring politics into it, this is a man who was shot at in this very spot in July. Then you have those iconic shots of him fighting with his arm raised. Then we saw him in the field and at the Republican National Convention with a bandage in the air with the band. There was a sense of unity there. At least the sense that there was going to be a more unified tone that carried through the convention or at least until the president’s speech. Now we’ll see what he has to say. Rachel Scott in Butler Pennsylvania reporting that JT Vance has already spoken. Took a couple of shots today and here’s a former president returning to Butler Pennsylvania Lee. Pennsylvania we love Pennsylvania and as I was saying.

He said I like that, I like that chart, I like that graph, isn’t it a beautiful thing, but it’s also beautiful. Because look at the numbers the day I left, it was the lowest Border Patrol, it was the lowest illegals ever. Immigration is out of control today, but I love it for other reasons, too. With that said, this is a daughter who is so blessed to have it, I want to tell you that tonight I return to Butler after a lifetime of tragedy and heartache to deliver a simple message to the people of Pennsylvania, to the people of America. Our movement to Make America Great Again stands stronger, more united, and closer to victory than ever before. We are going to Make America Great Again. When you win the election, I congratulate all Americans, whether you are Republican, Democrat, independent, conservative or liberal. No matter what label you have, our movement is yours. It belongs to our country, as well as our courage and our work together. In just one month we are going to make a start.

A new golden age of American security prosperity sovereignty and freedom for our citizens of every race religion color and creed exactly twelve weeks ago this evening on this very field a ruthless assassin made his goal to silence the greatest movement in the history of our country mega love mega for sixteen terrifying seconds time stops during the shootout does this evil monster unleash pure evil from his snipers not so far away. But by the grace of God and the grace of God that villain did not succeed in his goal he did not stop our movement he did not break our spirit he did not shake our steadfast resolve to save America from the evils of poverty hate and destruction yet here we are this evening in record numbers it is a big fuck you to mark not only the triumph of the American spirit.

But you know it is truly true spirit over evil and adversity but also to pay tribute to some of the finest and bravest people we have ever known. This field is now a memorial. For the heroism of our first responders, the tenacity of our fellow citizens and the sacrifice of a loving and devoted father, a great man, you know forever after the deed, forever after, those who have been to this sacred place. They remember what happened here. They will know about the character and courage that so many incredible American pages showed. We know they know it on a level never seen before, probably first of all I want to thank the men and women of the U.S. Secret Service. Who carried me through their bodies. They were on top of me so fast without a thought for their own lives, there was not a moment of doubt in their minds, you look at those tapes, not a moment of data, I want to thank the Secret Service, a great great people. Those agents in that moment showed a devotion to duty that cannot be described.
