Let’s honor the life of Dame Maggie Smith. This morning her son announced that this British acting legend has passed away at the age of eighty nine what a life that was. Over her seventy plus year career she was nominated for an Emmy a Tony and an Oscar for the drama The Crime of Miss Jean Brodie and others in nineteen seventy and ninety eight for the comedy California Sweet so many peoples list and Maggie is probably the most loved of all. The great roles that came later in her career were as the widowed countess and then professor mechanical, Harry Potter we had a whole new generation of fans Maggie was introduced to in two thousand and one as the stern but Hogwarts professor and the Harry Potter franchise. We never told her we were good because ninety years ago unaware of who she really was I saw her go up to buy new she was a great Maggie Smith.
Are you good and Maggie also brought her magical touch to the Edwardian era TV series Downtown Abbey, winning three Emmys as virtuous matriarch Violet Crawley, but today fans are also missing her sense of humour displayed in the Twenty Eight Team documentary T which saw the Danes going for everything You’re always first We’re a good upstander if I may say so. It’s all coming true now one of my hearing aids is pretty much gone.
